Honorary Degrees
Honorary degrees recognize distinguished contributions to the University, the State, the Nation, or the world and are awarded at commencement. The Call for Nominations is issued annually in mid-September.
Annual Faculty Teaching Awards
Each year, The University of Arizona recognizes faculty for their accomplishments. The university community is encouraged to nominate deserving faculty members to receive awards for distinguished teaching.
Regents' Professors
Regents' Professor, the highest of faculty ranks, is reserved for full professors with exceptional achievements that have brought them national or international recognition.
University Distinguished Professors
University Distinguished Professor awards honor faculty who have made sustained contributions of consistent educational excellence and have demonstrated outstanding commitment to undergraduate education. The Call for Nominations is issued annually in mid-September.
University Distinguished Outreach Faculty Award
This award recognizes faculty who have made outstanding contributions to outreach at The University of Arizona, in the State of Arizona and the nation. The Call for Nominations is issued annually in mid-September.
University Awards for Outstanding Achievement in Teaching
Criteria for awards that are offered through the Office of the Executive Vice President and Provost and the University of Arizona Foundation. Award recipients will be honored at the Awards of Distinction Ceremony in April at the Student Union Memorial Center. The Call for Nominations is issued annually in mid-September.
