Subject: Overseas Travel Information
Dear Arizona Students, Staff, and Faculty,
The coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak is now impacting more than 70 countries and the Centers for Disease Control is updating Travel Notices daily. The University’s public health committee is monitoring CDC for the latest information and posting updates on our Coronavirus Information page.
We are committed to the health and safety of this community and with spring break just days away, we strongly advise travelers to regularly consult current Centers for Disease Control (CDC) Travel Notices and also check for updates from their airline. Because the situation is changing daily, it is likely that the CDC will add more countries affected by COVID-19 to their list of travel restrictions. As a precaution, the University has suspended all University-sponsored travel for China, South Korea, Iran, and Italy, and travelers should check the webpage linked below for the most current information.
Students, staff, faculty, and other academic personnel planning international travel are advised to have contingency plans in the event of major disruptions, such as the possibility of being unable to return to the U.S. due to in-country quarantines. Please carefully weigh the risks and benefits of any international travel.
