Important Announcement Regarding U of A Microcampuses in China
Termination of microcampuses in China to align with federal expectations.

Dear Colleagues,
On September 12, 2025, the Congressional Select Committee on the Strategic Competition between the U.S. and the Chinese Communist Party and Committee on Education and the Workforce released a report entitled Joint Institutes, Divided Loyalties. The University of Arizona is named in the report as one of the institutions maintaining what is labeled as ‘high-risk’ partnerships in China. Considering this report and the broader implications suggested by the report and the federal government, the U of A was not in a position to continue to operate microcampuses in China.
Thus, the university chose to terminate its microcampuses in China to align with federal expectations.
With the U of A and China microcampus relationships terminated, the university is identifying pathways for our dual degree students to continue pursuing their U of A undergraduate degree as single degree students. We have communicated with our students and will continue to engage with and support them through this transition.
Best regards,
