Join the Provost for a Conversation About Student Success
Staff Conversations with Provost Prelock

Dear colleagues,
It is hard to believe that nearly a month has passed since I began my role as provost. In that time, I have had meaningful conversations with deans, vice provosts and many leaders across campus. Now, I would like to hear directly from you.
I am hosting a series of small, in-person conversations with students, faculty, staff, and community members from June through September, and I invite you to join me at one of these informal sessions.
As staff members, you are essential to the success of our students and your work is the backbone of our institution. I want to learn more about the work you do and hear your thoughts on how to best structure services and departments supporting the student experience, including the Student Culture and Engagement Hub. I would like to better understand the challenges or barriers you may be facing and strengthen our commitment to student retention, progression, graduation, and career success.
Together, I hope we will explore ways to make meaningful improvements to the support we provide to every student throughout their Wildcat journey.
Each session is limited to 20 participants, on a first-come basis. Sessions will take place on main campus in Tucson. Location information and discussion prompts will be shared in advance with registered participants.
Session Details:
• Wednesday, July 2, 2-3 p.m.
• Tuesday, July 8, 4-5 p.m.
• Thursday, July 10, 10-11 a.m.
• Thursday, July 24, 3-4 p.m.
I look forward to meeting you and learning from your expertise as we work together to deliver on our commitment to success for every student and our shared university mission.
With appreciation,
Patricia A. Prelock
Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs
