Brian Ten Eyck is the Chief of Staff in the Office of the Provost. In this role, he is responsible for advancing scenario planning, critical issue identification, stakeholder coordination and communication, and project management of significant and strategic initiatives within the Provost’s Office.
Prior to his Chief of Staff appointment in February 2018, he served as the Assistant Dean for Research Development in the College of Engineering, where he worked with faculty within the College and across the University to identify, create, and pursue research opportunities that are on a scale, and of a complexity, that faculty typically do not pursue on their own.
Brian is a member of the National Organization for Research Development Professionals, and has served on the Board of the American Association for Engineering Education’s Engineering Research Council. Before coming to UA, Brian worked for the Greater Tucson Economic Council, a public / private non-profit that facilitated economic development activities for the financial health of Greater Tucson. Prior to that, he spent a decade as an IT market research analyst and business strategy consultant. Brian received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech, and his M.A. in Linguistics from The University of Arizona.
