Mary Beth Tucker

Assistant Vice President, Human Resources

Mary Beth Tucker is the Assistant Vice President of Human Resources for the University of Arizona. She oversees the Arizona Health Sciences Human Resources Department, as well as HR’s Management and Consulting Services unit.

Mary Beth has over 20 years of experience investigating and resolving discrimination-related complaints and providing training programs on topics such as sexual harassment prevention, discrimination law, and religious and disability accommodation issues. She has experience in strategic human resource planning, performance management, mediation, federal and state law compliance, training and development, and management coaching. Since 2014, she has been a Professor of Practice for the University's James E. Rogers College of Law teaching Corporate Compliance and Title IX and Civil Rights Law. She has also had the privilege of presenting on these topics at national professional conferences and seminars.

Mary Beth graduated magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa with a B.A. in political philosophy from the University of Dallas. She earned her law degree from the University of Arizona’s James E. Rogers College of Law. She is also certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR). 

Prior to joining the University of Arizona, Mary Beth worked at the United States Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Compliance Programs (OFCCP), where she was responsible for the enforcement of federal employment discrimination laws and regulations.
